I am a computer consultant with a 20+ years on my belt. Lately I have been writing online and offline articles. The freelance SEO work seems very F'd up with deadbeats and scumbags. Is there a professional vennue for larger companies whereby a person could land a contract job? For my 17 years in IT and .NET I have never been stiffed only because I, on purpose, always worked for fortune 500 clients. Can you do the same with a SEO background?

The UK market has seen an upturn with loads of SEO jobs appearing in the last year, there are some specialist job websites I recommended CW jobs who always seem to have a strong selection of SEO based jobs for contract and permanent positions.
