I went last year, and I'm damn sure going again this year. Not only is New York quite possibly the best city in the world, but this show is easily one of the best in the SES series.
I've been to Toronto (for it's first year in Canada), and while it was good, New York has it hands down in terms of tracks offered, ability to meet people and man, that city! LOL
Yeah, I played tourist. Yeah, I'm from Canada. Yeah, I can't wait to go back!
I know this is WAY early, but I figured it would be better to start the planning now.
Who all is attending this one? Any interest in trying to get some of us together for a meal or a few drinks?
Even if you're still thinking about it, post up.
...and go sign up - it was FANTASTIC in 2005!

~ hotel - booked

Who's up for a drink in NYC?
Now to round up a list of shows and places to eat. I'm even throwing some vacation time on the end of this trip and sticking around for a few days - can't wait
I LOVE NY!

No worries Beth - for you, I'd pop for the pop.
As for the conferences, they usually offer two tracks - one beginner, one advanced. Even a day-pass would get you access to the "Site Review" sessions, which can be fun. The experts sit up front, take suggestions on sites to look at, then offer ideas on what you could do better, or answer specific questions.
Nice bit of hands-on that session - can get really funny when "cowboy" thinks their site it the bees-knees, then gets a few things pointed out during the session - been there, seen THAT happen...LOL
Other than that, the Beginner track is designed to teach newer folks the basics and offer advice on where to concentrate your learning efforts. (This is by virtue of the topics covered, not necessarily folks saying "Learn this" & "Learn that"
As always, many session are put on by a company selling a product - regardless, the data shown/learning expereince has value, IMO.
The parties are great, too - like there's a lack of entertainment in Le Grand Pomme anyway...LOL

Saw bh's name on my agenda list today while reviewing which sessions I'm going to attend.
Perhaps I'll introduce myself.
Is there a "Birds of a Feather" table for SEF members?

I hope so wink
See, I was trying to seem all non-weird about the fact that after the session you wouldn't have had the chance to stand up and I'd have been there at the table...LOL
Sounds like there will be at least a few of us there - this should be educational and entertaining.

Hi My name is Oren,
This is my first post on here.
I will be attending, I'm also anxious to get to check out NY a little more... I'd also like to get to know more of you guys out there.
Our company is sponsoring the 50k Spot for the event.
So who are you guys and girls and who do you represent?
Cheers
Oren

Welcome to the forums Oren/Jimmy. Gotta ask - Oren - as in O-Ren Ishi... ? (LOVE those movies!)
Anyway, I'm Duane and I rep - myself...LOL I work as an in-house SEM for a sports media company in Canada.
Best advice I've gotten so far, and I'll pass it along - is lookf or folks at the "Birds of a Feather" lunch seatings - read the sign on the table and plop yourself down it sounds like a group you'd liek to meet.

It's Oren as in Oren I'm a guy so being O-ren sounds a little funny. Where in Canada are you from? Montreal is my home town. PM me with your MSN ID, let me add you...
I was at the SES show in London England in July, that was amazing, loved the area and the show was fantastic. The actual exhibit floor was a little small so I'm hoping to see more at NY. Since we also have a booth it will be much more work oriented for me.
Know of any good parties? I know ASK.com is throwing a good party on the 27th You should contact one of their reps.
