Google still shows the OLD pages in the cache. I want to make sure that google cache's the new file names and pages by overwriting old file names cache. What would be an ideal way to do this? g1smd Moderator Joined: Jul 28, 2002 # Posts: 10060 Website	Posted: 10/24/2005 12:08 pm You could disallow the pages using the robots.txt file, but Google will continue to show the pages as URL-only entries for many months or years to come. I think it would be much better to upload a blank page with: <html> <head><meta name="robots" content="noindex"></head> <body>Nothing Here</body> </html> in it for each page that you no longer want to show up. That should take effect very quickly. (Copy Shortcut)

If I have understood it right, old entries will get removed quickly from google's database. what should I do to get the new fresh inside pages indexed/cached/crawled by google. I am curious for the BIG picture of having high PR on the website. Thanks HarRy (Copy Shortcut)
