Hi Friends,
Two days back when I checked google cache for client website, it had date as 21 Oct 2005. So I was Happy to see my client's website cached with the new modifications updated onto google's database.
When I checked google cache today again, it is showing earlier date of 29th Sep 2005, as a result of which the keyword ranking has lost completely for which the site use to get listed no. 1
What could be the reason?
Thanks
HarRy

I see this a lot. Google keeps a current view of the page, and several previous versions too. They choose the "best" one to use, not the latest one.
I removed an email address from a page in September, and Google has cached that page every day since then. The snippet still shows the email address that is no longer on the page and no longer in the cache. Google updated the cache nearly every day for the next month or more, and then last week they reverted back to a cache from September 10th.
