VERY interesting reading.

MS gives a short-form, 5 point review on the major items discovered in this, recent, testing done to see what SE viewers actually read.

1 - we have virtually NO time to get seen
2 - organic results are continuing to grow in importance

Really nice to see this kind of empirical data...and it looks like copywriting for PPC is not just important, it's critical...

Here's a link to MarketingSherpa's site and the article.

But luckily its across the board. Everyone gets a .7 second opportunity. Its a level and brutal playing field. smile

I usually agree with SportsGuy, but the information he references is far from empirical. It's not even sensible. Stats are...stats. They're always more important to the people who create them, by far, than they are to those who are (supposed to be) represented. What's worse is that it's anonomous and irrefutable.

Time is a concept invented by the Swiss to sell watches.

I would say that these stats sound a bit OTT, but then I realised that I do most of that (don't look at the right hand side, skim read results, look at results for a really short amount of time, bit longer than 0.7 mind) :s lol
