I just got a new Vista OS computer to work with. I have to admit, it is a bit more snazzy.

So, now, to re-learn stuff.

I want to do some ASP.NET development. So, how do I set up an IIS with this?

Also, I have found that I cannot use FTP like I used to. In the earlier versions of the OS and maybe earlier versions of Windows Explorer, I could just type the address of the FTP site, and it would prompt me for the username and password. I do not have such luck with VISTA. Could it be some sort of firewall setting? If so, how do I check that? I tried some FTP software programs, and they seem to fail as well.

I use Core FTP Lite and FileZilla with Vista, with no problems.

Check the settings, especially the firewall.

Vista Business comes with IIS 7. You simply need to enable it from the control panel. Some other versions of Vista don;t ship with the IIS.
