Sure that's A problem, and it's as annoying to forum members and moderators as it is to the dupe who paid the money for idiot SEO; but look at the big picture: outside of the forums and the idiots and dupes own lives, no harm is done.

Serial spammers cause much, much, much more damage, and do so quite deliberately, happy to hurt all manner of folk to get on the front page of the serps for a day.

Thats the problem.

No. Spam is spam. Spam isn't SEO. SEO isn't spam.

Spam is like taking steroids, the short term benefit if any without regard to how you ruin the other players around you not doing it, then the total removal of that site and breakdown of your connected sites. Better to be natural and have more longevity. Unless you "barry bonds" it and just keep spamming new networks of sites after other ones get removed but you are chasing your tail in tha scenario.

right good point, SEO is to make you appear to people who want to see you and you are helpful to their needs with your information or product. You arent tricking people to visit your site

Ethical SEO is always good and unethical is bad. Another thing SEO is a slow process. Those people thinks to be in top instantly they always kicked by search engines. If you are interested in online business then SEO is the best weapon for you.

It takes much knowledge and patience to ride the google favor train. I don't think all new comers are bad just anxious as we all have been at one point or another.

hey, if these people made a decent website in the first place, they wouldn't have to cheat to get their rankings.

And then you have the clients demands;
I don't want to say that on my website!
I don't want that there!
I don't want you to do this!
I don't want that!

now, make me number1 on the SE's

what choice does the SEO have...take the money and fail, take the money and spam, or quit sad

You can tell allot about the SEO person from the choice they make
