Ethical SEO is always helpful for a website. But new and unknown seo guys are following unethical methods, and their sites have to give penalty for their deeds.

"whats useless to us might be useful for others"

Very true, and we all put stuff on the web in the belief that it may be useful to someone, somewhere.

Except spammers, who fill the web with cr*p in the certain knowledge that it's cr*p.

Let's face it, many spammers exist on the 'exit fee' provided by Adsense when people leave their sad, useless sites. Luckily, people seem to learning to use Adsense as a 'tip', rewarding good sites, and not tipping the bad. Not always fair for advertisers, but a still greater incentive to only advertise on Quality sites.

Very true. Honest business is not about spam. Spam protocols are easily identified by search engines anyways. It's about building proper customer relationships and letting people know about product or service. Eventually the rankings will come once everything is in place.

"Excell: The real fact is - there is no such thing as SEO. :p"

LOL Its up to the Google Engineers to Optimize their Search Engine!

We have a much easier job; Optimize a limited amount of web space. And it is soo much easier to do it ethically, and you actually present a more positive message for the client site.

9. Backlink spamming

This point is the only correct point.

All others points are wrong. Those points has nothing to do with spamming.

FYI, seowebsitetraffic is a link dropper. He posted those points to promote his site. So here is one more point from him

11. Spamming forums with useless and wrong information just to drop your link.

Is it a SEO mistake or Spam? Discuss....

Probably neither. wink

It's clearly intended to be forum spam - but when it's so wrong and so badly presented, the chances of anyone being convinced is close to zero.

On his list of spamming tips (I'm sure he has one), #2 must be 'don't bother to match your message to your target audience' - because his outlandish inaccuracy stands out a mile.

Why is that all most spammers want is 'visitors', when eny fule kno that it's business, not bums on seats, that matters.

Funny old world smile

Ethical SEO generate traffic and leads for your website. Black hat SEO techniques are regarded as spamy techniques by search engines.

So SEO is not all about spam.

spammings a numbers game, throw enough people at anything and someone will buy, it's why spamming is still around.

Where unlike SEO (or the modern SEO anyway) where we try and make the best user experience and make sure they buy our stuff! smile

i agree with your statement. the way the IT professional look beyond the word SEO is a sort of pretending. you get what i mean? SEO is inlined with their specialization so it is unquestionable that they know about SEO. "if i say I'll go for it" something like this even though they know they are wrong. search engine actually helps my site to be on top on the major search engine. if you want to know more just browse on the link below.

Hey!

I do not agree with people who think that SEO is spam.
SEO is a profitable way to improve your benefits. It beats media like TV and radio in means of advertising. I do agree that there are a lot of SEO companies who think they know the trick but don't know anything about it. But there are some companies that offer good services and solutions for your website like Conba

A good judge of an honest SEO person should be how long they've been doing SEO and if their website and their client's sites are still up after several years. A black hat SEO would likely have several sites penalized/banned/disappeared.

That's correct! How longer a company is doing SEO, how more experience they gain. Like Conba, they are in the SEM business for more than 5 years with 300 satisfied customers. Not a single website is/was banned by Google!
