Hi,
I've been told that small words such as 'to' and 'and' and 'in' are ignored by search engines.
Also - that most plurals are ranked like the singlular form of a word.
But our site ranks differently on Google for:
Bed and Breakfasts in Languedoc
and
Bed Breakfasts in Langudoc
suggesting the 'and' makes a difference.
Similarly, we're ranked quite differently for:
Bed and Breakfasts in Languedoc
and
Bed and Breakfast in Languedoc
suggesting the 's' at the end of Breakfast makes a big different.
Anyone wich to comment?
Thanks,
- Greg

Yes, I wish to comment... forget what you have been told and optimise your website to cover all bases.
The search engines (including Google) change and tweek from time to time, so if you settle a shot short in optimisation then ... nough said
Use a long term approach - Use your individual pages to tell folks what you have available (they can be emphasised for different key phrases) and the search engines will get the idea well enough.
While you are at it - don't forget your & and other varients...
i.e. sometimes Google likes to think that
B&B - BandB - Bed & Breakfast - Bed Breakfast - Bed and Breakfast are all the same and to be treated equally, othertimes NOT
same with plurals etc etc.
I also notice the word "in" in your example, sometimes that is important and other times not. (though mostly it is, contrary to what others say.
Moral of the story is DO instead of listen to rumour.
