Hi My website has been operational for a few months and doing quite well in ranking in Yahoo! and Altavista. Overnight my rankings have suddenly dropped by approx 200 places. Anybody out there got an explanation? Your help much appreciated.

I'd check for items the Search Engines might be thing are spamming techniques. The first one I look for is type that is accidently the same as a back ground color.

i also use joomla for my cms. one of the problems is that everypage has the same title and meta tags, it is my understanding that search engines like to see meta tags written for each page, don't repeat titles or meta descriptions

yeah you can do it in joomla, thats probably left for the joomla forum. start reading smile. the good news is you can do SEF and separate tags

i do have a few suggestions. you used the jewellery word way to many times, the SE's are real hip to keyword lacing or placement like you did. That also could be a reason for your lost ranking.

I'll cut out the word jewellery (I didn't actually know I was keyword lacing!) and get on to the Joomla forum. Thanks for all your help.
