Hi all....
I am looking for code to put in my website for "search within the site", I dont wanna put any other search engine's search code but to my own. clearly mean i dont wanna put any other engine's search box so the site wont have external link to the particular search engine
I hope i am on the right way, and if any suggestions please let me know.
Waiting for reply

If you're worrying about PR leaking through external links - don't.
For an effective site search, try Google CoOp. You can create a Google engine that will only search your site (or whatever site(s) you tell it too). You can personalise it to match the look of your own site.

Check your hosting control panel scripts section. You may find one search engine script there.

So, to bump this back up...
Who else uses Google's CoOp search on their own site? I have been thinking about adding a "search-within-site" tool in one of our websites... but kind of like the author (kher_mukta), I'd rather not have an advertisement for google on my site... Where are these scripts you guys speak of? Our site is on a Windows server and the pages are made using ASP.... Any ideas I can throw at our programmer or do you think if I ask he will already know about this?

There are no shortage of pre-written scripts in pretty much every language (PHP, Perl, ASP, etc...) that you can use to offer internal site search to your visitors.
A quick search should find you various sites with lists of potential scripts, some of which will be free.
