I have started a site that is about a new (alt.) cancer treatment. It has been difficult promoting my site. How can I promote my site or can you redirect some traffic from your site to mines?
My site:
<url removed - please place your url in your profile only, link dropping is not allowed here>

treat_cancer_nl, welcome to SEF. Please note that self-promotion and link dropping are not allowed here.
SEF is not in the business of promoting sites by redirecting traffic to them. We do offer paid advertising, but you would be better off advertising on sites that are a better fit with your target audience, or on pay-per-click campaigns that only serve ads to those searching on certain related keywords.
What we do offer here is a wealth of information to help you learn how to effectively promote your site yourself. Have a look around, read up, and ask questions.
You might want to post in the Site Review Please! forum to get some feedback on your site. Please read the rules there before posting.
Good luck!

better use some promotion techniques like directory submission, bookmarking, find some online groups that accepting a promotion adds and posting and joining in forums sites... etc...

The first thing to do identify your target audience.
The second is get a quantity of unique and useful information on your site.
The third is to admit to yourself that you are (so far) providing virtually no useful or original material, you are simply being an affiliate for a couple of pharmaceutical sites.
Nothing wrong with that - but you are competing with about 50,000 similar sites, so best to get moving on that content issue.
Once you've worked on that, you can begin to think about optimization.

Hi!
Have you tried doing other PPC campaigns? PPC is a very effective way given the proper treatment. Identify your niche and select the market you want to cater to and start from there. Research also on the keywords your desired market would most likely be looking for. You should be more focused on getting targetted traffic than just page views. Buying targetted link backs are also effective at getting targetted traffic. It really all boils down to what your site offers to your traffic
Another great way of targetting your desired audience is through forum posting on similar niche.
Article submissions helps a lot. Having strong link backs to high PR article directories sometimes does the trick.
Blogging is also a great way to promote your site. Regular postings and "pinging" helps your site get indexed by search engines.
Again, as I always say - patience is a virtue. Be persistent in achieving your goals.
Hope my suggestions help you out
