What is a reasonable target for converting fisrt page visitors to a sale or a lead

It very much depends on the industry and the demographic of your visitors.

...and what you want to see. It's very much a personal metric. I know one company who's conversion profit is so large, that a single monthly conversion is huge.

Smaller margin products will obviously require higher conversion volumes to make a profit.

Your best bet to to look at your historical data and formulate a plan from there. If you don't have the data, start collecting it today and in a month or so, you'll have useful stats to make a decision on. wink

ya i have it all the data, i just cant help but think our conversion should be much higher for a free online loan application.
