I've been hearing that coldfusion sites don't do well in search engines. I'd like to know if thats a myth or true?

Honestly, coldfusion has nothing to do with how well a site performs in search engines. Many good designers will completely hide the use of server side scripting, so if the pages end in .html instead .cfm, who's to know? All the content/data is processed on the server, then get rendered to the visitors browser. The same applies for search engine crawlers.

Watching the URL structures is more important than the scripting used, IMO.
