What is the purpose of feed and how it helps for our site?

Feeds are provided to other sites that display the products or services provided by the site that supplies the feed. Usually this feed is provided to affiliates who want to promote those products on their own sites. It helps to automate the process of product updates so that affiliates have the latest info on products/services.
