Hi There,
I have a site on google selling widgetsA and doing quite well for a long. Recenlty we started dealing with Widgets B. Now WidgetsA is very unhappy and discontinued our membership. However WidgetsA is product which can be sold and serviced by anyone. In other words I can be a person selling and servicing Widgets. Take for example Quickbooks software.
Now I have a feeling that WidgetsA may ask me to remove their name from my website. I am not claiming any affiliation with them anymore but still showoing as a product I am dealing in. so Worst case scenario even if i need to remove their name (its a name like brand)etc, can I not review my own objective review or comparison between WidgetsA and B ? This way I will still get all my key words and content for the site ? Am I within my right to express my own opinion ? Something like a review on strenghts and weaknesses ? Widgets B is far superior and stronger product.
Please help me guys! These companies want to suck anyone who disobeys them and I am kinda becoming rebellious now
Thanks

You have a legal issue to deal with.
With that said, you can certainly write up comparisons between products even if they are not ones you deal with anymore. It would be covered under the “freedom of speech” and “freedom of press” of the constitution. You have the right to compile comparison stats. As long as they are factual and true, nobody can stop you from publishing the info.

Thanks and sure they would be true. But some of the observations will be based on my personal opinions and of course are not documented by any one. Its a personal like vs. dislike. Can I do that as well , If I personally feel there are some shortcomings in product adn write about it on my web page ?

are you the only one selling their product? is their product available for reselling through a third party? then as far as i know there shouldn't be a problem but then i am not a lawyer so i cant tell you what to do or they might just be see you as a threat and competition and if its their product they could come after you.

There's certainly nothing to stop you writing articles about their products - and if they get sniffy with poor comparison to the others, you could write articles simply describing the products attributes with no judgement attached.
you could also write articles emphasising how important it is for purchasers to look at all the products in that niche and make their own minds up
Nothing they can do about it; especially if you warn them that their letters may be published on your website.
And so on ... all of which will utilise their products in the serps for your site!

Thanks so much. That is exactly my point. Their product is sold by thousand other companies. Of course I am the one at the top on google So that is why I am a threat to them. Also the new product I acquired now is much superior than them.

You've heard the old saying "damning with faint praise" - you can have a 'history page' on your site that explains how you used to sell product A - which is a fine product, with no problems at all, then you got the rights to sell product B, which you felt was a great opportunity, not that 'A' isn'ta fine product.
You could evensay that you believe that in some circumstances, A - which is a fine product - might be more suitable than B; bit the makers of A didn't wish to sold on the same site. perhaps - even though A is a fine product - they did you a favour!
