you can check out what your competition is up to by choosing keywords and see how they rank for it by analyzing their content and incoming links,i sometimes like to use Spyfu to see what keuwords my competition are ranking for, its not always so accurate but its a handy tool.

Use search engine like google and type keyword for which u want to see competitors and entering list ll be displayed analyze that links.
