Hi everyone,

A client has an uncomplimentary page about them that they would like to push off the first page. I know the standard advice of "respond to the criticism," but we are also trying to push the result down.

My question is this: how can we get www.example.com and www.example.com/example listed as two entries in Google? For example, a search of "Heinz Ketchup" in Google shows www.heinz.com as #1 and www.heinz.com/World.aspx as #2. Is there a trick to accomplishing this?

Does anyone have experience in re. management in general? Any advice you could pass along would be great.

Basically, you need 10 top ten listings of the clients brand to do this properly, The 2 results from the same doamin are like that because I think they should be indented but because the top result has site links, it's displaying like that.

The best advice I can give, use ten different URL's rather than trying to get 10 pages from the same URL ranked above. Even profile pages from some sites can easily outweigh sites wink

But be careful. If this is a campaign, rather than an isolated case, then they may adopt a similar approach, and they may win.

In many cases, the best action is no action at all; the problem may well be self-solving.

If the client is 'in the right', then it's a battle you should win, and probably will. But there's no guarantees. If your client is 'in the wrong', then the approach you propose may incite further action against the client.
