Hi guys, I work for a pilot aptitude tests prep. company. It currently has a website www.pilotaptitude.com. We are trying to increase the ranking of our website in the main search engines such as Google and Yahoo. Is there any tips about search engine optimization? What is the best starting point? Any commend is welcomed. Thx! smile

    in your head section

get rid of all of those meta tags, you have now broken and hold the wolrds record for bogus meta tags, WOW! don't do that

all you need is meta descritpion, keywords and robots.

add a description tag, make sure it is relevant to the content on the pages

each make needs its own set of unigue title and meta tags

you need content, lots of content.

also, I would make your about us page your home page. You want the who, what, where on your main page.

*** all you need is meta descritpion, keywords and robots ***

The meta description is very important. each one much be unique per page and describe exactly what that page is all about.

You don't really need the keywords meta tag, and you only need the robots meta tag on pages that you don't want to the indexed or archived.

You must have a character-set declaration for the page to be considered a valid HTML page, and it is a good idea to also state the content-language too.

The page title is the most important element. Never forget that one; and, like the meta description, each title element should be unique and describe exactly what is on that page.

It is often very difficult to know where to start when there is much to do. I've been writing a report on a CMS upgrade for over a week now. Every time I look at the example test site I find another issue. Every time I look at my report I find another section to improve, and/or add more data to, and/or shuffle the order of the text around.

Another thing - What is the significance of the commented part where you talk about stem cells and House of Representatives ?

This kind of unrelated content inside comment tags will eventually trigger spam flag.
