    Hi Everybody,

Do any of you whether there are any certifications for budding Web-Analytics Professionals? If yes, please do let me know. I am very intersted in taking such a kind of certification, as a knowledge upgradation project in my organisation. Thank you very much.

Some websites which this offer this course like www.brainbench.com would be helpful.

    Thanks.

    Harish

There is no one to certify you, no standard over seeing the industry. No one is going to recognize Certified by Brain Bench as meaning anything. Other then that you paid your 19.95 of course.

Of course the only related certification I could find was more like a certified surfer.

Designed for all professionals, this test covers the following topics: Search Engines, Browsers, Business Information, Individuals, Government Data, Dictionaries, User Contributed, Search Service Bureaus, Map and Atlas, Genealogy, Libraries, Health and Medical, and Job Searching.

If you are looking for professional credicials an IT (information technology) degree is generally recognized as the appropriate one. Oh course a Marketing degree is often more suited, it really depends on the position requirements.

Just wish there was a good one for the search engine industry

Interesting. How popular are they. If no one knows about them, who cares about their certification.

Well respected in the industry, speak at conferences etc. They are known. One does not always have to agree with all they say but a lot of valuable input into the industry to mull over

If your in the industry for any length of time you will come across them. I have never taken their course, but I hear - from others who have reviewed it for usefulness - that it's a good place to gain the basics.
