    Hi all,

I think I've mentioned it on another thread, but I wanted to share with everyone a great find I made a couple months ago:

There's a hosted software company out there called Optimost that helps advertisers automate the A/B testing and optimizing of landing pages, copy, text, titles, etc. There don't seem to be too many tools out there that help SEMs automate the improvement of conversion rates, but this seems to be one of them IMO.

Can you give us more insight on "how" they do this optimization and testing.

From my point of view, no computer can ever adjust and test messages like a human being can. Computers can certainly do the calculations and tracking at a far faster rate than we can, which makes them essential from an ROI analysis standpoint, but to actually entrust the optimization of messages to them? I dunno...

Check out this URL describing the 'how':

It's interesting, but it's still pretty sketchy on the details. I can see where they are going with this, and it does make sense. We're talking absolute minute changes that are all tracked individually. It would certainly take a ton of man hours to do this by hand.

What I'm curious about is exactly how these varitions are created. What the company has to enter to start with. Basically, I want to get in the guts of this thing and see how it works. I may have to ring them up and see if I can get some type of test drive, case study, in depth example thing.

Have you used them? Can you give us some input on your experiences?

No I haven't use them, but read through the case studies which included iWon. I wish I could provide you more validation but that's as far as I've gotten. If you go further, please report back.

Happy to do so, I'll add it to my honey-do list, which is growing longer by the second. smile

It's an interesting service though, hopefully another member has used them or knows more about them and can comment on them so that we can get a quicker idea of what's going on.

    Hey Jenn,

Have you found any automated solutions that compete with optimost?

One update since my last post - a company I put in touch with Optimost has been working with them as of September and between then and now has increased their conversion rate from 0.06% to 0.23%, an almost 400% increase. The company in question sells a subscription-based service and has a very high acceptable CPA.

Shorebreak, does Everest have a stake in Optimost?

Sorry for not getting back sooner Kodak; no, Everest has no stake or business relationship with Optimost.
