    Hi there,

    We just completed a spider simulator tool, after looking at how rough-edged and basic most existing simulators are. We've took everything that was on offer, smartened it up a bit, and added a few extras, and it looks alright now! It's at:

    http://tools.summitmedia.co.uk/spider/

    It doesn't emulate any one spider specifically, instead providng a worst-case check, and there are a few non-spdier related features that give good-practice oriented comments instead. Any feedback more than welcome smile

    Hi leond, welcome to the forums smile

    It certainly gives you a lot of info. I think you could give more explanation as to what the marks mean (eg why do you get 4/5 for a 32k page - how do you get 5/5?), and the 'Click to expand' links don't work in Mozilla.

    Just noticed yahoo.com only got 68% huh

    I think your tool is excellent. Tested it on my site www.texashold-empoker.com (70% - so I beat Yahoo!). Too many words on the first page a dissadvantage?

    Can anyone tell me why I list No 1 on google for "texas hold empoker" and nowhere for "texas holdem poker" ?

    Like Vikto - no keywords or description

    As it turns out they where on 2 lines each as in
    <meta name="description"
    content="...

    I changed them to be on 1 line only and your tool found them.

    Nice. I checked my site, and got a 70%. So, I added alt tags to my images, and got a 93%. The two categories for which I got 4/5, were Html size, and Total size. The report gave me compliments for those two areas, but no suggestions. The other categories were at 100%, I don't know what to do to improve my rating.

    The link checker displayed that all of the links, to my other pages were broken. I could not click to those pages through the links in the report, but I could from my actual pages.
