Hello,
I am using a cloaker that allows me to create templates and static pages. The static pages I can create with HTML and my own copy.

I have read here that I should not use the tag "<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOARCHIVE">" because it will be suspicious for the engines.

So, my questions is what script or iframe should I use?
to redirect where?
and where should I place it?
Also, will this script prevent my cloaked page to be cached?

Thanks,

Romino

There's no problem with using the noarchive tag, I would go ahead and use it.

There are actually more reasons to use it if you're not cloaking than if you are, including copyright and other legal issues.

Just because you're using the tag doesn't mean that you're cloaking.

I suggest you start your search here:

A word of caution, though, as you can get banned for cloaking and if you do it you really need to be very confident in what you're doing.

Well I have not been caught yet in one whole year, but I don't know if it is skills or luck, but I do know that people who use cloaking to feed irrelevant info to the engines get banned in no time. I don't use cloaking to send medicine information and porn to user, I use to conceal my optimization techniques, and so far so good.

I personally would not condone Search Engine cloaking, but you know the risks so it is your own choice. Just for a warning a friend of my is trying to develop a tool that grab a page from google results / results cached and send the same request with a spoofed ip and agent header i.e. supposedly from Googlebot to the same page and compares the screenshots of both pages. maybe I should go into business with him and backsell it to Google ... if it works properly smile
