Here are the TOP 5 Search engine softwares in the order:
Number 1 Web Psition Gold 3
Number 2 Optilink
Number 3 Arelis
Number 4 Internet Business Promoter (IBP)
Number 5 Web CEO
They have been ranked by http://www.search-engine-software-reviews.com/. Could someone tell me whcih os this is the one you actually need to get high rank in search engines? I can not afford to buy all of tem but can afford to buy two. Let me know So far I think WPG 3 is good, but I need everyone's advice.
Thank you
Hitanshu

we've been known to use WPG3, but for very limited purposes. We also use Arelis. Didn't find much use for optilink but I know many other so. Don't know anything about the others.

We use WebPosition for reporting. IBP has a great Top 10 Analyzer it is very helpful to gauge how to optimize your pages. I've tried the Aerlis, but haven't gone beyond that. I remember seeing the Web CEO somewhere, but not sure.

I've had some luck with Optilink and know that many SEOs absolutely adore it.
In all honesty, I wouldn't put any of them on my "must buy" list though...
If I had to start from scratch and was selecting two things to purchase, this is what they'd be:
1.) Year subscription to Wordtracker
2.) A copy of ClickTracks
IMO, if you've got each of those, you can do enough planning and analysis for the site that everything else can be figured out in your head.

For what it's worth I offer my SEO software and order of importance.
1. Keyword Harvester
2. Keyword Counter
3. PR Prowler
4. Arelis
5. IBP
I've used just about every tool available and found these 5 do the job for me. I also found one site that lists directorys out there still accepting free submissions. I've made my own list from this of those with substantial enough PR to make it worthwhile.
AND one other cool little tool that saves me a TON of time is called QuickCopy. I don't know about the rest of you but one of the more onerous tasks I faced was copying a file(s) into multiple folders. As some of my sites have hundreds( one site alone has 1427 files!) it was time consuming. With QuickCopy I can do in 3-5 minutes what used to take me a day or more!

Dear C
I have never heard of PR Prowler and keyword harvester. They have not been discussed in these forms either. I haven't bought any SEO software because I was thinking it is not necessary. You have to do the optimization yourself, a software can not do for you. I downloaded the free trial of these softwares and they don't give 100% right advice.I spent $4 for wordtracker for a day, and I think it was the best investment I made. And for the link popularity, i will find the link partners myself and email them personally . If a experienced marketing guru can recomend me any SEO software then I will deffinately buy it.

We use IBP4 and have found it very good. The support is ok but slow - mainly due to time diferent. Top tip - if your from the UK buy in dollars it's much cheaper at the moment. You may have to set your browser language to English-US to get this option when buying.

Hitanshu said he had never heard of PR Prowler, so I figured my helping him read more about it isn't considered a blatent advert. Correct me if I'm wrong moderators.
