From my understanding Google may ban IP addresses that overuse it's resources. In particular they don't seem to be fond of ranking checkers. My question is, would this apply to link tools that automate finding link partners for particular keywords, like Zeus, ARELIS, SEO Studio, WebCeo, SEO Elite, etc.

Hey George, I know SEO Elite allows you to enter a Google API key... Let's you enter a proxy server to hide your IP Address if you wish... And also allows you to specify a "courtesy pause" between each query.

It's probably the most SE friendly software I've used.
