Overture tool alphabetizes the results, example put in spiderman and you get "man spider"

Is there a way around this or another tool that will fix this?

Which Overture tool? In your example, spiderman should not get changed, but spider man would end up man spider.

Most tools use the Overture tool so they also rearrange your words on searches.

The tool that checks the searches per month for your requested keyword. If you type in "spiderman" the tool first breaks up the word to "spider man" then alphabetizes it to "man spider" as the final result.

It does that with almost all results. type in "zebra sheets" and the results will be "sheets zebra" even though people are more likely typing in "zebra sheets" in the engines. Overture tool rearranges the results alphabetically.

It there another program to fix this or a way around it, besides using wordtracker.

Thank you

I believe now that you are referring to the Overture Keyword Selector Tool available within Overture on the add listings page.

I wasn't aware that their tool did this because I believe that particular example to be an anomaly caused by "spiderman" not being a "proper" word.

The tool does not split words it considers to be the "correct" spelling. If you type in fireman or policeman you won't see that happen.

The tool DOES always alphabetize results which I suppose is one way to simplify the variations to eliminate duplicates.

Because most other search tools search the Overture system they will also do this. I am not aware of any that do not.

To get the keyword exactly the way you want it you will have to type it in manually in the box on the right instead.

Shilly, the answer to your question is no i do not think there is a way around your problem.

If a group of users type in "red shoes" and "shoes red" i believe Overture just serve this info up as the same term. I agree with you though that this is a pain in the a&$e, as one may gett 1000 searchs and the other will get 10.

I reported this issue to Overture some time ago and discussed how the word order may affect how ads appear.

The conclusion at that time was that if you use advanced match your ad will show up for any word order but if you use standard match they will probably only appear for the exact word order.

I say probably because Overture's system maps SOME phrases to others so those always appear regardless of which phrase is used.
