That is a program that can be installed on a Windows web server. You would need to be the administer of the server to install the dll file. Is your web site hosted on Windows?

Hi.. thanks for your reply Jim smile

Our website is hosted in Solaris so does that mean that I cannot use this sofware?

I understand that Spiders hate crawling websites with lots of parameter values

for example:

I hope I can implement a rewrite on this and get rid of bm tags appearing so i can have a page rank for this page.

I would greatly appreciate any help. thanks

Do you know any software you can recommend for rewriting dynamic URLS hosted in Solaris?

the URL i would like to replace is somewhat like this

http:// www.website.com/catalogs/product_list.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=182345&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=79659&bmUID=112449867187

Unless I miss something here, Why would you need a software to rewrite your URLs into more search engine friendly format?

You simply set the rules of the re_write engine and you are done for all the URLs. You need to understand that your trusty Apache server intercepts the request and literally rewrites the request for the benefit of your script - all in real time.
