    Hi Members,

I have just joined this forum in the hope that I can find out from some kind person on how to prepare my site for search engine placings!

Although I have had my web page for some time when I 'search' for it on the web it never seems to come up!!! I know Im out there because I do get some 'hits' but really not enough!!!

I am prepared to buy whatever software is needed if it will help.I have just read a message saying that one does not need to pay!!! How does this work?

Any useful easy to follow instructions would be gratefully received.

Have a good day although its 11.40pm here in Australia.

    Shirley

You really don't need any "software". If you did, everyone would be using it; and they aren't. If everyone was using it then all sites would place the same because none would have an advantage over the others.

What you need is well written content, using "good quality" HTML coding, a unique title and meta description for each page, navigation that is easily spidered, incoming links from related and relevant websites and directories, and some patience.
