I am new to the SEO and looking for search engine optimization tool.
I found some seo tools online but I don't know which one to choose.
www.webposition.com
www.clicksplash.com
www.seoelite.com
Does anyone know other good seo software or recommendation?
Many thanks.

I use:
- a text editor
- W3C HTML validator
- W3C CSS validator
- Xenu LinkSleuth
- WebBug
- the Live HTTP Headers extension for Mozilla
and very little else.
You don't need that other stuff.

I agree that software does not solve SEO, but it does assist in some areas.
You have put W3C html validator as an SEO tool, but I don't understand this.
Even sites like www.bbc.co.uk come up with 30 or so errors, how does validating the coding make SEO better??
Thanks

Hi,
Even though some people tend to disagree. Quality SEO tools will help you to implement the right changes to your website. I started using IBP which isn't cheep but does the trick. It costs around $150 but it's money well spend.
The programm gives you the possibility to compare your site to the top ten on any searchengine, on any keyword. It will write a full report with how to improve your site accordingly. That's only one part, it also searches for thousands of linkpartners for you, submits to hundreds of directories, and much more.
Make good investments and stop chasing all those storytellers!!
For me a very valuable tool and more then worth the money!

...and again with the shill for this product - it's obvious to me now you work for thm moremagic13...
Like g1 said - basic tools. To his list I'll add:
a rank checking tool - use the proper api keys (webposition, I tend to stay away from - I use accurate monitor for SE form cleverstat.com. Simple and allows you to see keyword density on the same report as your rankings
Keywrod research is key to knowing where you're going - Wordtracker is OK for this - just be sure to use the "Overture" setting for the data-set - their own database kinda licks in my opinion (pulls from Dogpile and Metacrawler).
...and validating code is important for proper site design - just because the bbc.co.uk site has errors doesn't mean it's OK - I'll meet you on the bridge later, OK?
Fancy tools take time to learn and money to buy - in the end, what you need is essentially free, unless you're into volume (doing keyword research for several thousand keywords is easier when you can upload files, rather than check reuslts one by one).
Buy if you need to - but only if you need to.
