Anyone knows how trafficranking.com gathers their stats.

and compare with Alexa, which one having more accurate data?

The data collected from a number of surfers is analyzed and extrapolated to show a statistical pattern. This is the basis of many such traffic "tools". Metricsmarket is another such traffic tool.

Alexa uses the data collated from the Alexa tool bar.

All of them will tell you at the outset that their prediction need not match the actual statistics. They can only show a pattern. It all depends on the actual numbers used to predict the outcome. In the Alexa's case, the figures are skewed for the US sites as more US visitors tend to have the alexa toolbar installed compared with lesser numbers elsewhere.

Thanks for the advice. No matter how is it, my boss still want me to think of a way to increase the ranking in this particular "unreliable" tools. Cant do anything.

edcks, i'm not directly familiar with trafficranking but maybe you can do something regarding these unreliable tools and your boss' focus. They offer a 'browser accelerator' ... that may the source of their data for rankings. If you and everyone in your big office download the browser accelerator (warning - probably scumware involved) your visits to your site will be reported.

This will appease your boss' misguided focus. I wouldn't do it but instead softly educate him thru the above experience and lesson why he is so misguided.
