i want to use it on my site that has no auto ping xmlrpc and trackback is it ok? will i be penalized by search engines?

I understand that you want to use a Blogging software in your site which doesn't use auto ping xmlrpc and trackback ?

That has no bearing on the SEO at all. But you will have less 'visibility' as your updates will not be apparent.

...and doing as you wish would not be considered black hat, nor white hat for that matter. As Prowler states, it has no real bearing on search.

Though, I personally don't use trackbacks but do use pinging.
