I need to create obtain incoming links for a couple of sites. Usually I do this manually however it is very time consuming and was looking for software that would help with the task.

ie
1. Finds quality sites that contain forms for adding links
2. Analyzes quality of links from those sites
3. Checks backlinks
4. Rank checker for all major SEs.

Please advise if this would be a good investment or if
would recommmend something else.

Thank you

I personally would recommend you manage it all by hand. I know it's time consuming, but it's pretty important work, and no software solution will perform like a human.

Plus, adding the links is just the start - what if the site requires a recip link? The software cannot update your site to include the link, and your site looks bad to other sites when applying for a link and NOT placing a recip as required by the other site - obviously you'd never get that link from them either.

On top of all this, you must put time into programming the software - so why not just put that towards getting links?

...finally, it's worth mentioning that many sites & directories now have a CAPTCHYA (sp?) tool - that little spot where a human reads the text in an image and adds that to a form to complete the signup request. Many of the sites you'll want to get links from - those with decent page rank, are on topic, etc. - have these items - software/spiders are dead when they encounter them - sorry.

I hoped to see a discussion of mentioned software ))) Of course it's kind of usual answer "do everything by hand" and I really understand why it is said so. But as for me software is not always a "world evil" as it seems from the SEO forums. Sometimes it can be helpful (of course if you have your brains turned on), for example it's great in building reports for the customers. I personally like some of them

True, many software apps have useful features. No denying it.

If folks choose to use it, hey, that's fine. I choose not to for my own reasons and we are still successful.

Get links from pertinent directories. Be careful with inbound and reciprocal link solicitation - Google knows you are doing it to try to increase PR and they see it as spamming. It's very easy to get wrong.

You're safer with directories. DMOZ is the most important directory to get a listing. It can take a long time to get a listing though.

I've decided not to create new topic just to ask one question.
So, guys, do not you know, does seo elite have support team? 'cause I have some problems with it and it would be nice to ask them about it, but I cannot find any mentioning of how to contact them. Probably any of you knows? Thanx in advance

toe - did you happen to notice the "Need Support" link at the bottom of this page http://www.seoelite.com/index1.htm?

Other than that, I'd personally avoid this like an angry crab. But, since you have the software, best to check out the URL and see where that link leads you, IMO.

Thanx, I probably was tired of reading their long-long-long advertising page smile I wrote to the support and now am waiting for the answer.
BTW I do not like this software but usually try the new ones to see the changes

Recip links can perform a useful function for new sites - namely, it helps them generate traffic and exposure to the spiders.

In the bigger picture, however, recip links are not the way to the top any more.

provided you're only exchanging links with reputable sites, recip linking won't really hurt or help you. Pick a few of the wrong sites to exchange links with, though, and you're done...

As always, folks, don't use software to optimize or manage links - it's just not the right approach.

I have used the latest version of SEOElite 4.0 and am quite happy with it. Also got a $25 discount from this site (http://www.reviewk.com/seoelite/).
