I have had to work to strict guidelines on this, basically the client picked the colours, layout, pictures etc and I've just put them how he wants. The site should be going live at the end of next week, its sat in some spare space on another site.
Thanks

I had a quick look. The page loaded rather slow for me on a dialup... it weighs in at 240K, half of which is your logo. There's really no point in having an animated logo of that size that rotates once. Also, the flash with the phone and fax number moving across the screen. Not everyone has/uses the plug-in and if I were trying to copy it down, it would be hard with the text scrolling like that.

I'd add a copyright notice at the bottom of the page to make it look more finished.

Your home page is full of we in the content it would be better to replace "we" with "M & J Products" or "M&J" this would help with SE keywords.
The "Our Facilities" link. I expected a photo of M&J building. Not a list of equipment. This page is lacking layout maybe use a thumb nail image with the text for each of the machines. And maybe change "Our Facilities" link to "Our Equipment" or add a link?
Your contact page dose not tell me store hours. Monday -Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm Saturday 8:00am - 4:00pm Closed Holidays
I agree with JeromeQ the header needs changing.

The layout was set in stone by the client, he 'knew' what he wanted and won't let me change anything. This is how narrow minded he is, for several years he's made a lot of money making server cabinets that were sold through a company recommended by IBM, the company has hardly spoken to him for 2 years and he won't let me put anything about server cabinets on the site. I tried changing some of the text but his 'looked' better, to him anyway. I am going to change the header and add the opening times to the contact page

If you intend for this site to be found in the search engines you will need some keyphrase rich copy on the pages... watch the page titles as well, they could be more descriptive. You could place the larger images of the equipment in their own optimised pages instead of serving them directly from the images folder.

I agree the words "our facilities" has nothing to do with what the company is presenting.

Hi, I am by no means an epert at this and its the easiest thing in the world to critisise but this is all meant to be constructive:
At first glance there is a lot of text and maybe a few large headings describing what each paragraph/section is about? eg Need Storage Racking in H1 or H3. Too much info which looks the same for the eye all at once is off putting (so Iv'e read in a Graphic design book).
Personally speaking I don't like animated text (ie your fax and telephone number) flash etc and prefer just straight text or static graphics (just my opinion) For something like this company do they not want their address or at least which town or county they are in under the main logo? Also for search engine optimisation its better to have eg Steel Fabricated Products in text, as a heading. ie describe what the page is about straight out.
The facillities page says it all but its not very inspired (but maybe this is what your client wants)Could they not be split into more obvious (differant size or colour text?)headings eg Guillotines, presses,Welding.

Contact us is OK but maybe Where to find us in bold or even as a seperate page-The Map is good

Your client seems to be very ridgid in his opinions but its all there I suppose but very un inspired .

Hope this helps and I know exactly what its like !!

Thanks for the reviews, I have shown them to my client and he has allowed me to change the layout of the index page slightly. Man this guy is soo rigid in his ideas.
