Name of Site/Business: Howard Shooter - Food Photography

Site's Main Purpose: Advertising (eg Banners, Google Adsense etc.)

Please Review the following:
Search engine marketing. Can the pages be reasonably well indexed by search engines?

Additional Comments/Notes
This site originally appear in a Google search for - Food Photography - then after a couple of weeks it disappeared and I was wondering if Google is thinking that the site is called howard's hooter rather than shooter and that is why it was dropped.

Just recently it has reappeared under a search for - digital food photography.

Yum! However, from a search engine point of view, you'll need to add more words (content) and sentences with verbs. H1 tags would help too.

Your photography is so good. You should rely on text, and a simple black layout-so your images are the only things affecting my opinion.

I think you'll need to go back to the basics. Keep it simple, clean and effective. If your sites on photography, why isn't there a piece on the frontpage?

Good luck.

That made me laugh. smile

The home page has lots of blank space on a dark background. Not inviting to me.

The food photos actually look very inviting (you're good at what you do!), but I'd maybe make the gallery into thumbnails so I don't have to progress thru umpteen of them.

Also, include a description and maybe even the recipe. The pic doesn't tell me what the "alt" does - peach salad red onion feta. Interesting combination of flavors going on there. smile

I like the leather-bound portfolio theme. It's well suited to photography. I almost left the site, from the home page though, because I didn't see how to proceed, until I accidentally moved my curser across your name, and the alt tag came up.

Text for your studio page could include an "invitation to bring your food" to the studio. Maybe even anthropomorphising the food a little, but not too much.

The names of most of your clients do not mean anything to me. I only recognize a couple of them. You could put a link to each of those names where a small window would pop up showing either a sample of the work you've done for them, or a short description of the company.
