Hi Josh,
I visited your site and honestly can“t think of a single useful thing to say. Your site looks good, navigation is clear, I think it stands more than a good chance in the SE's...
Good luck with it.

A very fast loading site - easy to read and navigation is clear.
The only thing i would change is to try and make the image of the hand (your logo) a bit smaller as I think it takes up a lot of space ( half the page) apart from that its good

I hate to bring bad news but I think that the nav is in need of some improovement.
At a quick first look the site appears as a 1 page site.
I would make the links to the other pages of the site more obvious.
Maybe color the three reviews section buttons a different color then the rest of the page so they jump out at you.

mids1999 -- bad news is desired, it's the only way to improve. Your suggestion is dead on; I've had trouble getting visitors to go beyond the first page. I'll mess around with making the section links more obvious. AdrewThomas' comment could affect that too. Thanks for the suggestions.
Any other reasons come to mind about why people wouldn't go further into the site? thanks much.

I can't say I have anything good to say, only that upon entering the site I feel overwhelmed...
There is to much info thrown at you, too many links to choose from.
After adjusting and getting used to the site it is fine, but at first glance I don't know where to first go. I don't know what the site is about...until my mind can organize it, then the word reviews kicks in and I can browse a little better. :p
But still, my main concern is navigation, it isn't easy, it makes you have to think about what to do...almost guess. This may be just me :p, but it's something you might want to look into.
Other than that, it's great for load times, the colors used are very good, especially the top red band. Right away there is the urge to bookmark.
You know, on a site like yours, a search function is needed. I may enter your site through a SE, and expect to find a review on a book I want to read. To find it I would have to
1) go through links and pages, read on and on, basicily work for it..
2) Use a handy search function to find it in seconds, little to no work
I hope the above doesn't offend, it is not my intention. If it helps that is great, if not then take it with a grain of salt. I am not an expert..nor an authority on anything

First I can only answer your questions from my viewpoint.
I found your site somewhat difficult to navigate. Maybe it's just me.
I prefer sites with links in or around the center of the page. After all that is where most people's eyes go to.
The links are attrative, however I think the arrangements of where they're located could be improved.
SE Marketing. Didn't check your meta tags so can't help you.

Thanks all for the responses, I've made some substantial changes to answer the points everyone made, mostly with navigation. I think it's easier to navigate now, and more clear off the bat what it's all about. I also added a search box to every page. Your help is very much appreciated.
Any opinions on the changes or new thoughts about the site? Specifically, is the navigation clear or still muddled? Thanks again.

Hello there,
First, very fast loading site. I really like that. I am an older folk, so not sure what swillfilter means. I guess swill as "real bad" and filter to get rid. So are you getting rid of the bad. Regarding navigation, The "Book Review' "Movie Review" and "Music Review" were not clear that they were actual links.
From a website point of view it is very good. Fast, clear, etc. So good job.
