this site looks great

I don't know enough about SEO to critique that portion, but I have learned that the information in the title tag, keywords and description needs to have your priority keywords or keyword phrases - and I think they need to match up more.

Hopefully someone with more SEO experience will come along and give you more concrete information.

The Green Bay Packers featured event take up a lot of real estate on the home page. It definitely is a big event, but I feel you can make it slightly smaller and give space for more of your Top Events list. Also, you can go smaller with images and have more text around the top events.

The navigation bar on top is image based and you lose chances of getting keyword density in there.

I browsed through the sports section. The second and third level pages are also light on text. Ofcourse, the last level detail page has all the events featuring a team, giving a lot of keyword density there ... it would be good if you could get your target keyphrases worked into the content in those pages.

Appearance, Attractiveness .. good, light on the eye. Enough white space to offer good relief.

A well done site, but you seem to have gone the "looks" way in the SEO vs. looks tradeoff.
