Wow - nice site!

You need to "optimize" your images to minimize their size. With the current images the size they are, your home page is about 2 meg. This means it will take nearly seven (7) minutes to download for someone on a dial up line. You should try and get your images down to a size of less than 30k each, with a total page size of about 100k (i.e. reduce it by 95%.

Excellent job with the site.

Image software such as Photoshop and Fireworks optimize image file sizes.

These are cheaper alternatives but note that I haven't used either of them:

[link] software: Image Optimizer
www.netmechanic.com/accelerate.htm service: Net Mechanic
[link] service or software: Spin Wave

I'd probably try a service, if I were in your shoes. Test the Spin Wave one - the test version reduces the file sizes by 30%, so you can see how it works.

The biggest problem with your image sizes is that some are in .bmp format.

bret11.bmp - 921K
jessie.BMP - 225K
etc.

Save them in .jpg format.

IrfanView is a freeware graphics program that can handle the image format conversions.
