Name of Site/Business: Sovereign financial consultancy

    Site's Main Purpose: Information

    Please Review the following:
Does the home page sufficiently convince people to go further into the site?

Does/can the site achieve its main purpose?

Navigation. Is it clear and easy to understand?

    Appearance/Attractiveness

    Typos and grammar

    Images failing to load

Is the Contact, Privacy and Legal information adequate in relation to main purpose of site?

Search engine marketing. Can the pages be reasonably well indexed by search engines?

    Additional Comments/Notes
This bilingual site is under development, to be launched in two weeks time and I welcome critical reflections.

    Hi ranner and welcome.

Interesting site. Certainly a layout that is clean and easy on the eyes which always appeals to me.

It may be that your target markets (which do not include the US) expect different sorts of language when you are describing your purpose both with the short blurb on the home page and the longer on on the About page but for me, both pages seem to wander and the writing lacks a clarity and force I would like to see.

Check the exact meaning of the word 'periodical' as I think you may have meant something a little different when you used it. Periodic maybe? Also, it seems to have been used quite a bit in the short amount of text on your pages.

Thanks a lot for your stimulating remarks. We intend to operate worldwide so the assumption made that the US apparently is not our market puzzles me.
A few suggestions to correct this wrong impression would be most welcome.

I was mostly making assumptions based on the two flags at the top right. I took them to indicate the countries you wished to do business in.

    Hi Newtvail,

Thank you for your reply. Our bilingual site went public with the two flags (Dutch and the UK) as there was no better alternative. Presenting the Stars and Stripes in stead of John Bull or using the word english would not solve the problem.
