Name of Site/Business: Adventures in Online Investing

Site's Main Purpose: Advertising (eg Banners, Google Adsense etc.)

Please Review the following:
Does the home page sufficiently convince people to go further into the site?

Does/can the site achieve its main purpose?

Navigation. Is it clear and easy to understand?

Appearance/Attractiveness

Typos and grammar

Search engine marketing. Can the pages be reasonably well indexed by search engines?

Additional Comments/Notes
Thanks for your help, I'm trying to review a lot of pages, so I would appreciate any feedback...

I can only comment on attractivenes and design. Im not qualified to answer the rest =).

First impression:
What is this ????
I loaded the site and saw adventures in online investing and a s**t load of banners and ads. That wanted me to get off asap.

As i dont understand anything of what the site is about i will not go further as an ordinary user.

Mayby you could add something more specific about what the site is about up there somewhere.

Navigation:
I looked and looked but couldnt se a navigation/menu anywhere before i started to scroll down and then i barely saw the links because its realy hard to se the light blue text over that background. Mayby try to add some sort of menu/navigation at the top of the site ? Im at 1280*1024 and had to scroll down to the links on the right side. Thats never a good thing.

Overall design:
Its a blog what can i say. I dont like em. I never have liked blogs at all. Thats just a personal preferance tho. All the blogs seam to be so lacking of design its silly. I like design. big honky images nice designs and verdana font hehehe....

I wasn't able to look at your profile or any of the comments since the site is down for maint. right now but a couple of comments.

I didn't see any pop-up adverts or such massive numbers that I wanted to leave immediately. And I don't really have a problem with a blog designed as yours is since it is meant to be read for comment. However, the fact that world_trance takes such a very different view means you might want to consider spiffing up the design a bit so that folks who like design will be happier and the rest of us will be comfortable. Not an easy job but worth some effort I think.

I think you really need 3-4 longer, content rich anchor articles written by you or by a guest expert and links on the main page to them.

I wonder about some of the links you do have. Investing is fairly serious even when you can write about it with humor so seeing links to a blog on gay marriage and South Park were a little off-putting to me personally.

In the source, you really need a meta description for each page just as you do with any web site.

Sorry but never used their software so can't say for sure but their tech folks should be able to. There has to be a way for you to do it directly or for them to allow you to feed one into the code.
