Name of Site/Business: National Kitchens
Site's Main Purpose: Ecommerce/Sales
Please Review the following:
Does the home page sufficiently convince people to go further into the site?
Does/can the site achieve its main purpose?
Navigation. Is it clear and easy to understand?
Appearance/Attractiveness
Additional Comments/Notes
Ive spent so much time staring at the pages of this site im sick of it! But that aside, Im also quite pleased with it ^^
Your thoughts and criticisms are most welcome, particularly relating to the homepage and whether it convinces ppl to go further.
Thanks for your time.

>>>Does the home page sufficiently convince people to go further into the site?
I think it's good that you have links to many places on the front page but it looks like a massive wall of information; the user will most likely be overwhelmed with all the text. Make use of your navigation and make sections for your content; that will help people find where they want to go.
>>>Does/can the site achieve its main purpose?
I wouldn't advertise "5 different steps" since 5 is a stretch for a small number and it will likely take more than 5 steps.
>>>Navigation. Is it clear and easy to understand?
You have 2 nav. bars! Try and shorten it to one well organized panel.
>>>Appearance/Attractiveness
The theme is okay. A lot more CSS could be used especially for links.

Many thanks for your response phileplanet.

-All the homepage info is effectively a brief summary of the site and the content throughout it. I've tried to narrow it down and make sections on the homepage more distinct but I fear you may be right in so far as it's just too much info for a prospect to absorb. I'd be interested to hear what anyone else thinks?

-It really is '5 simple steps' to place an order however; one step in particular takes up ordering all the units which can obviously take a while... is the '5 steps' thing misleading do you think?
>>>Navigation. Is it clear and easy to understand?

-We went for a top and side navbar because we didnt want one huge side or top bar. The sidebar relates to more requested info than the topbar buttons, which is a distinction we're looking to stick to. Opinions?
>>>Appearance/Attractiveness

-CSS?? Sorry, I'm a man with very little 'how to' knowledge with web design.. I prepared a brief and had the site designed for us. That being said I now have total control of the site and have added/changed content as appropriate, I can also have designs/layouts changed. So, what do you mean more CSS needed?
Thanks again for your response phileplanet.
