Name of Site/Business: YardHopper.com

Site's Main Purpose: Ecommerce/Sales

Please Review the following:
Search engine marketing. Can the pages be reasonably well indexed by search engines?

Additional Comments/Notes
Hi,
My site has been online for over a year. I've tried to optimize as much as I can w/ my limited knowlege.

I can't even crack the top 1000 sites on Google. I am very confused and frustrated as to why my site isn't listed. Any assistance you all can lend me is greatly apprecaited.

If it helps/matters... Google has indexed my site and spiders it fairly often.

I have been to this site before and reviewed a number of other folks sites... I will continue to do so.

Thanks in advance.

First off, read this thread and fix this concern asap. You could be getting hit for duplicate content.

I'll also recommend you get the FAQs listing on the actual page of the website, rathert han in a popup window. It'll help add some actual content to the page.

I'm getting the impression the site is very light, overall, on actual content, too. This could be hindering you in the results with Google, as they might not feel you actually hagve anythig relevant for searchers. You have to SHOW Google the way. Smart as Googlebot is, he doesn't "get" everything. wink

I'm mentioning the "light on content" angle because I wnet through about 20 of the cities listed in there, and only 3 of them had any ads placed. sad

Now, make sure yout page titles are optimized using the keywords you want to be found for - if you frig with nothing else, do this. wink

On a page like this, for example http://www.domain.com/loginmanager/main/details.php?uid=3237 - you'll want to actually get info written in for the title tag - it's blank right now and you might be missing an opportunity here to get a page well ranked later down the road.
