Who's the chick in the top left picture? I'd like to see more of her on the drive on docks. If having one of those drive on docks could land me a hotty like that I would maybe just buy one.
Seriously I would put more emphasis on why someone should buy one of these such as the convenience and time saved. Right now it's in small wording that blends in with the rest of the site and my eyes aren't being driven to the benefits of the product and the action you want me to take (clicking into the order form). Instead my eyes go right up to the girl in the picture at the top left. Then right above her is the back button so once I realize I can't make that picture bigger to see just how hot she really is I'm inclined to just hit that.
Now for getting listed on the search engines:
1. Start submitting to free directories, a good tool that I use is submiteaze, in my opinion it's well worth the money since it lists several hundred of the free non-reciprical directories and will automatically take you there and automatically fill in the info (for the most part) for you. You'll especially appreciate this if you've spent any time asking other webmasters for back links or have searched around the internet for free directories and when through the registration process a hundred times for each directory.
2. If you could afford it submit it to the yahoo directory, you'll have a better shot at getting crawled by the search engines faster if you are listed there. MSN also has a paid directory for way cheaper than yahoo but not sure if you get as much out of them.
3. Find related websites and ask the webmasters to link to your site in return for a link from your site to theirs. It would be wise to set up a "related-links" page for this. This is very time consuming and frustrating but is still the best way to get good backlinks, don't get into any linking scams out there that promise huge numbers of links to your site, these will usually get you banned or docked in the search engines and the kind of sites you end up getting linked to you usually don't have any pr anyway so what's the point?
4. Keep getting backlinks from related websites, search engines love backlinks. The more you have the more they like you and the more they crawl you.
5. Consistantly make changes to your site, even if it's just a small tweak try and make changes at least once a week. Search engines love content and freshness.
6. Try writing a "newsy" type of article about your market and submit to netscape and digg, if you can somehow make it contriversial or hit a nerve you could gain a sizeable amount of backlinks from other websites that pick your article up.
As far as optimizing your page copy for the search engines I would start with your title, description, and keywords. First thing is take your website url out of your keywords, if someone is searching for you with that they will most likely be directed right to your site anyway, give it a try and type your address in the search bar of yahoo.
Next, pick the keyword you most want to go after and make it the first word or phrase in your title, your first word or phrase in your description, and the first word or phrase in your body (preferably make it an <h1> tag).
Create a separate page to focus on each keyword or phrase following the same format I just gave and be sure to give a link back to your index page from each one and visa-versa. Also be sure when you do this that each page has unique content, don't build so called doorway pages, the search engines will penalize you for this.
Make an articles page and put some articles related to you market on it. They don't have to be works of art since your visitors most likely won't read them anyway, it's more for adding content in the eyes of the search engines.
Now go back and find more directories to submit to and more webmasters to swap links with. Once you've done this go back and do it again 50 more times.
Lol, sorry about the huge post but I hope it helps get you on your way.
