Name of Site/Business: Jimmy's Entertainment World

Site's Main Purpose: Fun/Leisure

Please Review the following:
Does the home page sufficiently convince people to go further into the site?

Does/can the site achieve its main purpose?

Navigation. Is it clear and easy to understand?

Appearance/Attractiveness

Typos and grammar

Images failing to load

Search engine marketing. Can the pages be reasonably well indexed by search engines?

Additional Comments/Notes
This is my first website and I am very new to all this. Any advice will help even the critcism. But please be nice. Thanks, Jim

It's a nice site for your first one. I like that fact you are showing the latest entertainment news. The links to your friends is a comprehensive page. That was my favorite page -- many activities to choose from.

Here are a couple recommendations:

I would remove those links from the top of your page and place them on the bottom. Those links are detracting from your website. Also, I'm seeing a tag (SEO King), ">", component (in those top links) that shouldn't be showing.

Create a different favicon.ico (located in the address bar). There are a lot of sites around that can help you create it.

Pros

1. Good descriptive domain name. Makes one want to check it out
2. Loads fast
3. Direct Links to content within the site.
4. Search Engine Friendly

Cons

1. The rotating globe doesn't blend with the black background. Try setting the underlying palette colour to black before saving the Gif
2. The layout is garbled in IE 7

You might want to consider getting a professional theme. Its a good concept but you have strong competition and you need to look the part
