Name of Site/Business: The Rojak Man

Site's Main Purpose: Advertising (eg Banners, Google Adsense etc.)

Please Review the following:
Does the home page sufficiently convince people to go further into the site?

Does/can the site achieve its main purpose?

Search engine marketing. Can the pages be reasonably well indexed by search engines?

Additional Comments/Notes
I wanted to click main purpose as information, as the aim is to attract people to share their knowledge and clarify their doubts. however, i do hope to make some money off it to cover expenses.

I would like to know more about search engine marketing. How do i get my site listed on SEs? Please give me some suggestions and point me in the right direction thanks alot!

I'm really not sure there's a market for guys who make fruit and vegetable salad dishes.

And if there is, your site needs to be explicit about what it offers.

Currently, anyone who finds the site will instantly reach for their Back Button - whatever they wanted, there's no sign that you offer it.

Content is King - and you don't got none.

Thank you for the feedback. We are in the process of developing our content, but at the same time we would like to get ourselves onto some search engines. How do we start doing that?

There's no point in getting in the SEs before the site is ready; you merely build up a pool of people who won't come back.

There's no way to get (usefully) listed in the SEs without content. Searches are matches of the user's search term, and the content on your page.

You have no content on your page.

It's really not a chicken and egg thing - it's a chicken and family meal thing. The chicken HAS to come first.

Once the site is ready, come here and read around a little - I guarantee you'll find many useful tips in a short visit.

One to start you off: Put yourself in the mind of your target audience; what does the front page (your key page) need to say to make that person scroll down to your forums? What makes their visit worthwhile? What makes YOUR forum different to all the others in your niche (I'm assuming you've looked at them?).

Good Luck!

Hi,

Your site looks nice! But I had no idea what it is about or what I can do. Maybe an atractive introduction would help.

good luck,

Danny
