Get real - Yahoo! is not a public service.

The fact that the public uses it does not in itself make it a public service.

Perhaps someone here can point out to me why Yahoo! is NOT a private company.

and why it has to provide anything other than sites it wants on its servers???

or perhaps Yahoo! was nationalized while I was out shopping today wink

I have had a couple of sites penalized by Inktomi when I falled to renew my paid inclusion through Network Solutions. When this happened, I disappeared from Inktomi's results. As soon as Yahoo started using the Inktomi index I disappeared there also. I went back and paid again for the paid inclusion to no avail. I would search my page title in quotes and of 137 results I came up 136. This is definatly and negative marker on my site. I called Yahoo, and they said it was probable excessive cross linking which is hog wash. For you people not from the south, hog wash is basicly the same as BS.

I agree they have no obligation to include anyone's site. If they didn't, what good would they be? I have good exposure when someone searhes their directory, but disappear in the index unless you type in my URL. If you put the URL in quotes, I don't show up either.
