This morning one of my sites is all but gone out of Yahoo.

Some obvious changes moved me from top 2 on several big keywords to below 50.

Anybody else notice anything on Yahoo today?

Supposedly the mamma of all Google updates happened today and yes, one of my sites dropped from #1 google to nothing. A bit frustrated but I have been straying toward "seo ish" practices instead of good old fashioned good content so I've no one to blame but myself.

I don't use Yahoo enough to comment on how it has changed; but I do know they react a lot slower to change than Google does. However Yahoo does not clutter up its results with Supplemental junk - pages that haven't existed for a year, or cached data that no longer represents what is on the page right now, but rather what it was like a year ago.

Hi,

I thought it was just my site. I have a program that was written for me that checks Google, Yahoo and MSN every hour and logs it so I can see what is going on. I have just managed to get my site listings in Google to go up from 39 pages to 230. Two hours later my Yahoo listings go from 83 to 1. I was thinking it was something I had done, but I couldn't see what.

How often do they do these major updates and does anyone have any experience of how long it takes to fix this?

Thanks

Louise

Checks ever hour? I have to ask; just, Why?

You will be heading for problems if you keep that up.

i agree, last thing you want to do is p*ss off the engines by bombarding them with automated queries...
