Does yahoo offer an spi for rank checking tools? I ask because the most recent edition of my rank tool includes the ability to use the "Yahoo API".

A quick search )ironically thought Google), nets me APIs for Local Search, maps, etc., at Yahoo - but I failed to see anything for checking rank.

Do I smell marketing BS on this one...?

Thanks. I went through that stuff and color me lost.

I think I need to take some programming courses soon to stay on top of the technical side of things.

I was expecting this to take the form of the Google API I have - they simply send me an API as a sort of identifier.

I'm going to have to play with the Yahoo directions and try a few times I suspect before I get this one sorted.

If my thinking is right, it should just be a matter of leaving the "query" field blank to open it for all queries...but we'll see. Worst case I'll need to build 5 apis (one for each of my sites) each one with about 20 terms in it. There's a good afternoon of typing...LOL

Thanks Logan for the quick response.

ever use digitalpoint.com? They have a spectacular Google tracking program that allows you to put in your keywords and track over time your positioning. With the addition of a simple php file and the Yahoo API, you can also check rankings in Yahoo and MSN.com also.
