I have this question in my mind since many days. Lets See if anyone has the answer to this.
If you check the url of any site in yahoo search, it shows all the pages indexed of that site. But for many of the sites, when you search them in yahoo, it shows only the index page of the site and many back links to that site.
Once this situation is come, the site losses all its ranking. Now it is becoming very common. Few days back yahoo was showing all the site pages and today only the index page and the bacl links pages.
Is this some sort of banning and what is the solution for this.

Thanks

I'm guessing that all your sites are hosted on local servers whose trans-oceanic transmissions are governed by your national policy. They are, basically, proxy servers.

You are not banned. You are just "filtered" by the government you happen to live within. If you wish to successfully publish content to everyone, including Yahoo!, you must establish a ligitimate domain on a NameServer in the U.S. or elsewhere that does not operate upon the same restrictions.

If you are unaware of these international restrictions, try to send me a 256-bit encrypted message - right now - and see if I ever recieve it. My guess is not.

Hi,
My sites are not on local server. And i am facing this problem only in one site.
I am not the only one facing this problem. Anyone of you go to your link directory and check any 20 url in yahoo search with whom you have exchanged links. You will find atleast one or more such site, where yahoo only shows the index page and will show backlinks to that site. But none of the internal pages will be shown as indexed. And these site must have lost all its rankings in yahoo.
