For any who aren't familiar with it, CreativeCommons.org is a non-profit site that offers HTML code you can add to your web pages that will tell a visitor exactly what sort of copyright you have on the material on a given page. Especially good if you do want to allow some sort of use of parts of your content.
I noticed today that in the Yahoo Advanced Search options, they have a new feature in beta that allows searches for sites that include a CC license.
I had been planning to use their code because it seemed like a generally good idea. If it will also help with Yahoo searches, it becomes a much better idea and if Yahoo does it, I think the other engines will soon follow.

Do you think that it will play a major role in general ranking algo? I don't think so.

Probably not Dinkar but since it is free and useful and something I needed to do anyway, I certainly didn't see any downside.
If it helps even a little bit with organic search results, I'd see it as well worth the few minutes to set up.
It does offer a link to some people-friendly information and that can't be bad. I'm sorta hoping that since Yahoo is offering a specific search feature that we can see, they might possibly be giving some weight in their we-can't-see algorithms.
