Directories Forum Posting Guidelines
General Posting Guidelines
The Search Engine Forums have been developed to assist web site owners in learning more about volunteer edited directories, learning about becoming an editor at the various projects, and learning how to get their own sites listed within the various directories.
Before beginning a new thread, please use the forum search feature to find out if your question has already been answered. Users who start new topics should use a descriptive thread title so that readers are aware of the subject matter before they enter a thread. Threads should cover one topic. Additional threads may be opened for discussion of additional topics. Comments to thread should be helpful and on topic. Off-topic and/or innapropriate posts may be deleted by the moderating staff.
Moderators may occasionally move an existing topic to another forum, where discussion may be more appropriate. When this occurs, a thread will be left in its place with a link to the new thread in the new forum.
The Directories forum is visited by webmasters, professional SEOs and volunteer editors from the directories like the ODP, GoGuides, Gimpsy, JoeAnt and more. All posters should conduct themselves in a courteous manner at all times. Flaming, slanderous comments, and self-promotion are prohibited and users who make such posts will be edited and receive a warning from the moderating staff. Abusive or harassing behavior of any manner will not be tolerated.
